Christian Education

Adults

The adult Sunday School class meets every Sunday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 and all are welcome, so don't feel shy - we have a very friendly, accepting group.

Also for adults -

Lenten Group Study

This year's Lent Study will be "What Makes a Hero?" by Matt Rawle. The study begins on Thursday, February 15th with a morning session at Homewood at 10:30, and an evening session at the church (with pizza!) at 6:30. We'll meet every Thursday through March 22nd (except for the evening class on March 1st).

Youth/Teens

Our Youth Class (grades 6-12) meets at 9:45 on Sunday mornings during the school year and is currently studying a curriculum entitled re:form, which uses brief video lessons and an "anti-workbook."

Children

Our elementary-aged kids have their own "mini-Church" during the second part of our 11:00 worship service. We use a curriculum called DeepBlue (www.deepbluekids.com), which incorporates Bible lessons, crafts, songs and other fun activities. Each Sunday, all elementary school kids (K-5) are invited to join us as we leave the Sanctuary after the children's sermon. (Our nursery is available year-round during the entire worship service for children 5 years and younger.)

For the grown-ups: We are always happy to have additional volunteers to help lead our Children's Church using a pre-planned, easy-to-use curriculum. Teachers will take turns on a rotating basis and NOT serve more than once a month. Please help with this amazing new way to reach our kids and make a real difference in their lives! Please speak with Pastor Rob or Jean Barrick to help.

Upper Room Devotionals

Devotional booklets are available in the Narthex for anyone who would like a resource for daily prayer. There are regular and large-print versions, and there is no cost for the booklets, although donations are gladly accepted.
