Christian Education

The Adult Sunday School is discussing the late Marcus Borg's last book, "Convictions, How I Learned what Matters Most." Borg, a prolific writer, was canon theologian at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Portland, Oregon and described by the New York Times as "a leading figure in his generation of Jesus scholars."

The adult Sunday School class meets every Sunday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 and all are welcome, so don't feel shy - we have a very friendly, accepting group.

Our Youth Class (grades 6-12) meets at 9:45 on Sunday mornings during the school year and is currently studying a curriculum entitled re:form, which uses brief video lessons and an "anti-workbook."

Our elementary-aged kids have their own "mini-Church" during the second part of our 11:00 worship service. We use a curriclulum called DeepBlue (, which incorporates Bible lessons, crafts, songs and other fun activities. Each Sunday, all elementary school kids (K-5) are invited to join us as we leave the Sanctuary after the children's sermon. (Our nursery is available year-round during the entire worship service for children 5 years and younger.)

For the grown-ups: We are always happy to have additional volunteers to help lead our Children's Church using a pre-planned, easy-to-use curriculum. Teachers will take turns on a rotating basis and NOT serve more than once a month. Please help with this amazing new way to reach our kids and make a real difference in their lives! Please speak with Pastor Rob or Jean Barrick to help.
